Cookies used on this site
A cookie is a small piece of text stored by your browser. Cloud Pulse Point uses a few, and only for this static site. Rejecting optional cookies does not hide studies, rates, the method, or the contact form.
Types we use
Essential cookies, or the local store equivalent, remember that you closed the consent banner. Analytics cookies, if you Accept, help us see which pages are read — for example whether people open the method page after the flagship study. We do not use advertising cookies.
Table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| cloudpulsepoint_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject so the banner does not return on every visit | Until you clear site data, or twelve months if the browser still holds it | Cloud Pulse Point (first party, localStorage) |
| cpp_essential | Marks that the banner script ran and that pages can load without a second prompt in the same visit | Session | Cloud Pulse Point |
| cpp_read | Optional analytics: a coarse page-group (study, journal, method) without the full URL query | 6 months, and only if you Accept | Cloud Pulse Point |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Rejecting writes “rejected” to the same localStorage key and does not set cpp_read. You can also clear stored data for cloud-pulsepoint.digital in your browser settings, or use the browser’s block-cookies control. After clearing, the banner will appear again.
Third-party cookies
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. That request may allow Google to see your IP address. We do not place a Google analytics cookie. Embedded photographs are requested from Unsplash’s image service when a page loads; Unsplash may receive the image URL request. We do not embed third-party study widgets.
Impact of disabling
If you Reject or block cookies, the studies, journal, rates, and form still work. You may see the banner again after clearing storage. Optional read-counts will not run. Essential operation of the site does not depend on cpp_read.
Privacy
